Christmas Parade

The joy of a Christmas parade is not just about the sights and sounds, but the sense of community and togetherness it brings. This year, the parade takes place at 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The parade takes place rain or shine, and is delayed or cancelled only in the event of life-threatening weather (lightning, tornado, etc.).

Tree Lighting with Santa

A free, family-friendly event that features hot cocoa, treats, children’s choruses, an adult choir, and photographs with Santa before he “magically” lights the tree. This year's festivities kick off at 4:45 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Lake Norman Lutheran Church.

sponsorships & brand exposure

The parade and tree lighting are attended by hundreds of families, offering sponsors extensive exposure and heightened visibility to a diverse audience. Sponsorships are particularly advantageous for businesses catering to the needs and preferences of families, making it an ideal platform to showcase their offerings. We offer several sponsorship packages to accommodate businesses and organizations of all sizes and budgets. All proceeds will be disbursed by ELBA and Denver/Lake Norman Rotary to local community organizations and service projects.

about hats

The purpose of Helping Animals to Survive, a 501c3 organization, is to act as guardians to protect and enhance the lives of companion animals through facilitating community involvement, education, legislation and leadership.

We accomplish this through continued implementation of comprehensive programs designed to promote an environment of respect, responsibility and compassion, as we advocate for the humane treatment of animals.

We are a 100% volunteer based organization, with all donations and funds going directly to helping animals in our community.

HATS is not a rescue. We do not take in animals. We do provide resources for people who are looking to rehome, or who are missing their pets, or who have found pets and are attempting to find their owners. Please use the Resources button in the main menu for links to our Facebook pages and outside agencies that may be able to assist you.

We believe that every animal deserves a chance, and we need volunteers and donations to help us reach our goals! If you are interested in giving of your time, please visit the Volunteer page to get started!
